Law Interns Must Wear A White Shirt, Black Pants, And Black Tie According To New Guidelines: Delhi High Court

Law interns in Delhi can wear a white shirt, black pants, and black tie when entering court complexes as prescribed by the Bar Council of Delhi, according to the Delhi High Court. The court also ruled that advocates appearing before any courts must wear white bands with their prescribed uniform. The decision came after a plea filed by a second-year law student, Hardik Kapoor, who challenged a circular issued by the Shahdara Bar Association that interns practicing at the Karkardooma Court wear a white shirt, blue coat, and trousers. The court disposed of the petition and stated that the uniform prescribed by the Bar Council of Delhi should be followed uniformly across Delhi, superseding the Shahdara Bar Association's circular.
